Not a bad deal- AGP slot w/3 PCI-E slots. I just purchased the AT800XTPE AGP refurb so I don't want to upgrade quite yet.
Sooooo. Is this chip a good o/c'er? Considering it's the 3500+ we're getting. Right now I'm running a Athlon 2600+ at a 220bus. I would imagine a 3500+ would smoke it?

I was planning a big upgrade soon, but have recently changed my mind and decided to go for a new t.v. (currently have '86 19inch) and xbox360. Would it be worth it for me to go for this and the $200 x800gto squared for a somewhat budget gaming rig. Currently using xp2500 and 6800 vanilla. BTW i would be overclocking.
Thanks for pointing that out. I guess when I'm ready I'll go for the ASROCK board w/AGP slot. It can't SLI, but what the hell. 1 PCI-E is plenty.
Be very careful. The deal looks tempting, but this is obviously some fly by night company who can't even get their shoddy website to list their "deals" correctly. The deal title mentions the 3500+ but the product details says it's a 3200+.

it was at Fry's for $209, Venice core 3500+ w/ ECS K8T890A mobo... my friend had issues installing a 6600GT AGP onto this, didn't work so installed his 9800Pro back and works fine...
Not venice in my area and indeed a 3500 in my area too...however if you bought the 3000 lets says for 140 (Non oem) you would need to sell the board for 90.00 to break even. but youd be lucky if you got 50.00 for that board on ebay or forums. I think its a good deal but with most of the 3000+ venice hitting the same 3500+ i think thats what ill stick with.
It has a AGP slot or agp express slot as ecs calls it so this board can run one or the other but as i understand agp performance is not all that great
AGP and AGP Express are totally different. AGP express is a PCI slot, incapable of holding an AGP graphics card.....
In store was $20 cheaper. I got the Via K8T890-A ECS board with PCI-X and AGP combo. The CPU is venice Rev E6. Good deal, super good Deal
