I'm looking to build an Aria system with an Athlon64, but the socket 754 platform is looking less and less apealing by the day. Do you guys know if there are any uATX S939 boards on the horizon?
I'm sure they must be on the way as s939 becomes the standard for amd64, but for now its reserved for very high end systems, and not many of those are uATX. Look for them after the new chipsets from VIA and nVidia.

i wouldnt consider a socket 939 3000+ to be very high end. socket 939 is amd's primary mainstream socket, leaving 754 for budget and low end, and socket 940 for multiple processors. but yes, companies will make a socket 939 microATX mobo, since 754 is becoming obsolete for mid-high end processors.
Heh, really. Its been up for about a month (link on FICS site), I have looked through all of their where to buy links, and google searched it. Zero results. They should start sending them out soon, hopefully. Kinda sucks it only has AGP 8X tho, bah. Oh well, I cant even afford the top of the line AGP 8X yet, so I guess it dosent matter, just more of a bragging right thing
I sent an email to FIC asking where to buy one and they have not replied yet. This was last Thursday I believe. I am waiting patiently in anticipation to be able to buy a socket 939 in matx formfactor.
If anyone has any better information as to where/when one would be available I sure would appreciate it.
I actually photoshopped the image above, FIC as not yet released it. However, GOOD news! ATI has officially announced / shipped their new Radeon Xpress 200 Chipsets. These feature Socket 939 or 754. PCI-Express X16 for next generation graphics, also available is integrated X300 graphics with pixel/vertex shaders, complete DirectX 9 support, whats special about it is you can use it and a add-in card at the same time thus powering more than one monitor. And most importantly: *Micro-ATX* and ATX forms! Read more here! : http://www.ati.com/products/ra...ss200series/index.html
At this point, it wouldnt make any sense to buy the FIC motherboard, since its been delayed so much and how outdated features compared to the new Radeon Xpress 200 chipsets.
