Socket 754 SLI board

I could see someone with a S754 3400+ or 3700+ wanting this. You sell your agp Ultra, old mobo for $350 or so, buy this and a couple 7800GTs for $800, and you've increased your system power by a LOT for $450..

(assuming this will cost around a $100 like other SLI board are starting to)

interesting.. pretty limited applications though. i suspect most would just move to 939 and do dualcore at the same time while they're at it.

but if i had a 3700+.. i'd have to do the math on the resale of the s754 3700+ ect

its always good to have more options

im glad i waited for s939/pcie though before jumping into the A64 😀

Nice post Rollo...I seen another SLi 754 mobo lol (forgot where 😕 ) But anyways i'm very happy that the 3400 and 3700 chips affordable these days.Just imagine a sempron handling that power :Q, of course with 2 x 6600 GTs 😛

Nice to see mobo manufacturers offering this kinda innovative stuff, but as has been said, i think people are considerably more likely to dive down the s939 path with the dualcore options that would give them, and the single core performance benefits of s939...

Dual core options are definitely a plus...single core performance difference is almost negligible. Well when not considering overclocking of course. 🙂
