How well, in general, does the socket 754 platform overclock? Also, I'm buying a new video card, in the 150-200 dollar range and is the 9800 pro really worth much more than the 9600XT?

Yeah, the 9800p is much better than a 9600XT. 8 pipes vs 4 pipe, and 256 bit mem interface vs 128 bit.

And yes, the 6600GT w/b better that a 9800p

Haha you cheater! You picked DFI the overclockers board. If computers were a form of religion that would be their BIBLE

Thanks. I want to get the 6600 GT, but it's never in stock and the only option is the XFX one... But, I'm not buying it until around Christmas, hopefully it'll be in stock by then.

can anyone tell me if that mobo can handle 2 sticks of ram? I was under the impression 754 mobo's only work in single channel.

The 754's overclock nice especially with the retail HSF.

Yes all 754 motherboards can handle two sticks of ram, they can handle 3 sticks of ram if they want. But no they cant run dual channgel only single.
