No, but why would you want to? The Pentium-M chips are better in all ways than the Skt478 P4's.

yea, but i have a lappy with a 479 celeron and a broken lappy with a 478 p4... so i want to rid of the celeorn...

i have counted (actually multiplied rows and colums) the # of pins on the p4 lappy and it counts to 479 while the processor has 478...

Doing such a thing might burn the processor and or the socket. I would not try such a risk.

you could sell both cpu's and get yourself a P-M which you could get it cheap on Ebay. I just upgrade my laptop with a celeron-m to a P-M and battery life is last much longer.
