Hey. I'm gonna switch my crappy D865PERC mobo I got with my computer with another mobo but I dont want to spend any money on another cpu. So, my cpu now is a socket 478 3.2 northwood. Any suggestions on a good mobo? Also, I am looking for a new cpu heatsink. I looked at zalmans and they look like they kick ass. Im looking for a silent, good heatsink that isnt that big. And one more thing, since im switching out my mobo, Im gonna need some new ram. Right now I have a gig of dual pc3200 installed. Looking for some good ram with nice timings for overclocking. If anyone else has any suggestions please feel free to post.

Well since you are planning to overclock then here is what I suggest. For motherboard Asus P4C800-E or Abit IC7-G. Memory I would say OCZ PC-3200 Platinum Rev2 or PC-4000 Gold Rev2. Cooling I would say the Xp-90 is one of the best paired with a good 92mm fan and some Artic Silver 5.

The D865PERC is an alright motherboard just I had some problems with the bios. Whats the difference between the normal Asus P4800-E and the duelux version? Is it worth it to buy a duelux? Thanks for the suggestions.

What about the DFI 875B, I've seen nothing but great reviews on that board, though it does seem a little pricey....

DFI boards rock, I've used only a few for work, but they are workhorses, no problems at all.

i think it's just with the additional features/support like firewire and etc... but basically the board is still the same i think...try to download manuals from asus for these boards, maybe you can see some insights to it..deluxe probably is better but also a bit pricey...
