Socket 478 and PCIE?

yeah a NAME BRAND thats trustworthy

in either socket 478 with PCIX
or
socket 775 with AGP AND PCIX, is this possible?

asus P4GD1 - almost impossible to find in the US.

Asrock! Gotta love a motherboard manufacturer that sounds like it's from the flintstones.

775's with AGP/PCI-E at newegg...ECS, Adrock and ePox. Not the best selection in the world.

Both the Albatron and the Asrock are no longer in stock at newegg. Really sucks that I can't buy a damn 7800 without buying a whole damn new chip and mobo.

according to the e-mail that I got from Albatron rep, the 478/PCI-E was a hot seller and they won't be back until the end of the month or early december.

Albatron had really cool 486 motherboards ... reliable ! its that you don't trust them and they are named brand... not famous in USA but in someother country that brand is known

Nothing wrong with Albatron.. I've used a few, no complaints. I actually do consider them a trustworthy namebrand.

there are five motherboards for Socket 775 with both AGP and PCIX at newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi...Price=&SubCategory=280&Submit=Property

Two with 915Ps and three with PT880s. From my past experience, PT880 don't have any AGP/PCI lock build into the chip at least on the socket 478 ASrock P4V88 that I installed on a friend's computer.

The PT880pro Asrock does have the lock. I have my CPU overclocked and can confirm this on my Asrock PT880pro board.
Also the 915 chipset does NOT have a true agp slot. It has a slot that runs off the PCI bus so the performance is very low and there have been reported problems doing this with some higher end cards.

Socket 478 with PCI-X? Look at the SuperMicro P4SCi. Want Socket 775 with PCI-X? Look at the P8SCi. But somehow I don't think you want PCI-X, you want PCIe. Big difference.
