Social Issues?

I need to pick a topic for my research paper on social issues

Here is a list that CorporateRecreation helped me make so far:

1. racism as it exists today
2. racial profiling
3. stem cell research
4. gay marriage
5. war in iraq is a huge social issue

Any others I should consider?

Also, from a research point of view, which would you pick? I haven't ever research social issues so I don't know how much information is available and currently my school's online databases are down

Does Outsourcing Job's to India/China count as a social problem?

good idea, if I can do that I'm going to do it, any examples of published documents on it? I can only use reputable sources like cnn, msnbc, online databases school provides, etc.

I'm not asking you to do my research, but I have no clue how to start looking for this kind of thing on google, should I just search for "outsourcing research" or something?

the McDonaldization of Planet Earth

Fixed. 😉

my bad.

good book, though (The McDonaldization of America, that is). it was one of our primary text books in a sociology class I took during my senior year of college (incidently, the title of the class was Social Change).

i would pick the gay marriage one, seem the easiest most outspoken topic right now, research should be pretty easy.
