Hopefully it won't be too bad, my cousin is picking me up from the airport. But it is the 405 afterall, so I'm expecting bad..

well, seeing as how it took me 13 hours to drive from Sacramento to San Diego coming back from Thanksgiving a couple years ago, I'll go out on a limb and say that it will be bad tomorrow

Yes, there are 405's in Washington and Oregon as well, all three of which branch off I-5.

The SoCal one is also the busiest one, containing the #1 and #4 or 5 busiest traffic spots in America..so therefore it would be considered THE 405.

Whenever I have training in CA they fly me into LAX and I have to follow that godforsaken highway up to the Ventura freeway. Too much traffic on that thing, even on a Sunday I was coming to a dead stop.

The 405 on a Sunday is like downtown Boston at 4:30pm.

So the 405 can take you all the way to Sac or it merges with the 5? I might need to do drive from the OC to Sac soon.

405 starts in Santa Clarita splitting from the 5..which is about ~30 miles from the OC, though the 5 connects to there too.

depends on what time you're coming in, but otherwise count on it being horrific. we're leaving san jose to go back to LA around 5am
