wahoo, got my long vacation time approved, so I'm taking a chunk of time off this thanksgiving break to spend with my family. Haven't seen them for awhile so I wanted to do something special, maybe attend a show or visit a tourisy place. I'm thinking of some place in LA or SD ? something low key though, since my dad is fairly old already 🙂

Any good show cheap shows we can catch, nice place we can check out in SD? We did the disneyland thing, the citywalk, unviversal studio, gettysbury museum, hunginton library ?

yeah I know it's last minute but we still have 1 week! Any help is much appreciated!! 🙂

What is gettysury museum?? 😉 If you are referring to the Getty, do it, its cool. I took my mom there when she came to visit, cool gardens, some roman jewelry, and other cool stuff. That's about a day already.

Maybe lunch at the beach, thats relaxing.

which part of LA?

for beaches.... if you're gonna be in orange county go to corona del mar in newport beach... very nice and relaxing beach
not too far from there is south coast plaza if you wanna go and shop around.. it's a pretty nice mall

if you're gonna be in LA and are still interested in the museum stuff go check out miracle mile on wilshire blvd.... tons of museums there

hmm... there's 3rd street promenade in santa monica, where you can shop, eat, walk around.. it's 2 blocks from the beach and boardwalk

go eat at pinks on la brea... good hot dogs and lots of tourists go there 😀

Go to clubs on Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood

I don't think he'll want to take his parents to clubs, especially in Hollywood. I want to hang myself waiting in line to get in as it is, I doubt parents would have the patience or desire to wait, and then pay $20 bucks cover and $10 bucks a drink? I'm such a tool.

I think the Lion King left LA, there is probably some other show though. Wine tasting in Temecula or Santa Barbara (San Ynez), thats always fun. Walk Third Street Promenade.

yeah, stupid typo, I meant the Getty Museum, the one on top of the hill by UCLA. We did that 2 yrs. ago, loved it!
Maybe the beach would be relaxing but my parents are probably just going to end up sitting around ... done 3rd st. promenade 🙂

Maybe La brea ... no particular part in LA just something to do, although they live around temple city.

disneyland. 😀

hmm. i love the SD zoo, go to balboa park, go check out seaport village, gas lamp district.

and the chargers. 😀

but i love disneyland. they're decorating for the holidays after nov. 19th!

shoot, freakin' chargers are doing so well tickets are probably really hard to come by ... maybe I'll try the clippers 🙂
Any chinese acrobats or lion dances, I know my dad's always intrigued by them 🙂

I'm putting beach and park on the list as backup ... cause it's easy and free but they might be bored.

clippers game a staples center would be fun. or maybe go see the price is right and try to win a car or something.

What's the best place for clipper tickets? Don't want to get rape by ticketmaster ...

Venice Beach, University Studios, TV Taping, Disneyland, Spearmint Rhino, Abhoreteum (sp?), or Griffith Park observatory

ghahahahahahaha.... [pauses to catch breath] gahahahahahahaha... whew... that was a good one! you are a funny funny person!

but in all seriousness, they are in k.c. that weekend. and yes, even though they are winning, the chargers still cant unblack out a game with a sellout crowd. sd people have seen this situation before, and they know better than to waste their money on a team that is bound to choke.

being that its the clippers, and if its a nonpopular game, you can probably by it that day at the box office. or right before the game. i did that once and even got good seats. 😀

i don't think price is right is filming those days - they film two shows a day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon but i doubt around holidays. you might go on a studio tour - WB in burbank, cbs studio city, etc.

boooo ebay didn't have much to offer, there were a few people selling on craigslist though. They're playing the Net's that night, 11/25.
