Hi All,

Can anyone give me info for mobile devices SOC rankings?

based on their performance which SOC ranks on top and which ranks low.

There are numerous custom made SOC's from various companies like Nvidia, Qalcomm, Texas instuments, Exynos etc...

Need rankings based on their presently available devices in market. (Considering all Android devices)

Thanks!!

Qualcomm SoCs generally fare the best in terms of performance. Nvidia Tegra chips tend to be king for a day/week, but they do have some games optimized for them. Exynos isn't bad either, but they're usually not performance kings. TI is out of the game at this point.

I wouldn't worry about it too much though. Any of the chips within a given performance bracket will be within ~10% of each other. Unless you have some specific need, you're far better off ignoring the SoC manufacturer, and focusing on finding a device that you like.

I need SOC rankings for my work. To predict if an app will work on the device or not, if the device specifications are not available on Google and if I need to certify my app for particular SOC.

Just a general ranking but should be accurately ranked as per values 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on...

Thanks

In terms of complete chip configuration performance.

Thanks

You can look at the AT benchmarks to get a rough idea of performance (but you'll have to keep in mind that a lot have differences in software, drivers, etc. that might affect the performance slightly.

If you're going to be developing apps, you'll probably want a few devices to test on anyway, so I'd suggest picking a few up and running your own benchmarks.

The most used high end socs are the snap dragon 600 and 800 if you build your app around those you will hit 90% of the android market.

Keep in mind apple is a huge market also with there in house hybrid socs also
