NicColt, is that going to hold constant? Dont you still have another box to build? Also, 8 teams broke 10T yesterday. Thats pretty impressive.

Just realized that tomorrow will be both the end of the month AND the end of the week.

>Dont you still have another box to build?

Well my first 5200+ system is done, and it's giving me about 5.5M cEMs and I have my main system running an old 3200+ clawhammer that's just giving me about 2.2M cEMs that I will upgrade to my second 5200+ system.

So just those two should give me about 11M cEMs which is more than one dual core intel would have given me. (I think).

But I'm not upgrading my main system now until the C2D E6850 is released. I was seriously thinking of getting the Q6600 but according to some reviews I should get the same output out of the E6850 and they are going to run at 3000 MHz on 333 FSB and it's only 75W compared to 2400 MHz 266 FSB at 130W for the Q6600 and all for the same price.

Asus is releasing bios's that will make your board 1333 FSB.

Also the E6850's will have the new G0 Stepping wich will make the cpu run cooler and it will be alot easier to OC the FSB to 400. So if you have good PC2-6400 ram you will be able to run the cpu 1:1 with the memory very easily on air.

I think Quads with the B3 stepping will be hotter and use more power. I rather go with a cpu that is 'efficient' at doing what it does even though it only has two cores. Now I just hope that they release the E6850 on July 22nd and everything I read seems to point that way. Wiki is saying July 22nd.

Check out this E6850 Review

Edit - Won't be long now NCIX has posted the price and listing of the E6850 for $332.02 Cdn wow.
