Congrats to IJump who has passed 300T (and will be at 400T shortly as well!)
Congrats to nefariouscaine who has passed 5T
Congrats to RudyToody who has passed 5T

We must be off double pass as well because my production has vaulted upwards.

Yup, my pleasure. I'll try to get stats up tomorrow, but I'll be out of town till the 27th with very little chance of getting stats done.

Edit - omg, these Q6600's are tearing up the regular Wu's. I need to recheck my total output.

I'm getting 4.3-4.4 M/sec per core on my Q6600 @ 3.19ghz. Sweet :D

The urge for me of getting my own Q6600 is growing with these kind of messages. :p
Now let's find some money to get me one. ;)

And before I forget and have to edit again:

Thanks for the stats and have a nice time out of town.

Hey People!!

It has been months since I was on, checked in and saw yall had alittle race going on and thought I would help.

I am still crunching under "winr"

.................................................................................
Thanks TallBill.

Great going TAers.
.................................................................................

I have a question.....

I put my 2400+ 754 @2500 running SOB.

Also, 4800+ running SOB.

The 4800 locked up last night, I rebooted it and it was looking for "Raid Array', I have only 1 IDE drive in it.
I cleared the bios and reset everything and it booted fine and started crunching SOB again.

I opened up EVEREST and checked temps.

IDLE
Mobo 34
CPU 25
Core 1 19
Core 2 32
MCP 49
AUX 40

Core 1 running SOB
Mobo 34
CPU 25
Core 1 25
Core 2 36
MCP 49
AUX 50

Core 2 running SOB
Mobo 34
CPU 25
Core 1 30
Core 2 52
MCP 49
AUX 48

Core 1 and 2 running SOB
Mobo 34
CPU 25
Core 1 36
Core 2 54
MCP 49
AUX 57

Also, on my 2400+, when I restart the PC in the "full test " box it starts the percentage back to "0".
I am running a normal install of SOB on the 2400+

The AM2 4800+ remembers where the percentage was when I restart, I am running 2 instances as a service on the 4800+

I have core 1 running on the 4800+ at the moment, core 2 in in stopped mode.

My numbers were starting to climb and I hope I can get the 4800+ back on 2 cores.

Not sure why that would happen.
Is it restarting the same test or an entirely new one?

Maybe this is the same thing some of us have experienced already?
If SoB is installed as a service, then you will loose the work done already if you haven't done a hard reboot. Why this is is AFAIK still a mystery.

Maybe you did restart one and not the other one?

Also, it is good to see you're back, winr.

And thanks for the stats, TallBill. :D

And for all the times I will forget in the future, Thanks ahead for filling in Spacehead. :p

I guess i initially thought he meant he wasn't running as a service when he said "I am running a normal install of SOB on the 2400+" but i may have misread, so yeah, it could be the "lost test" problem.

Hi everyone.

...............................................MERRY CHRISTMAS............................................

I should have been more clear.

Both PCs were rebooted after installing SOB.

The 2400+ has SOB installed by clicking the icon, I called it a normal install.
It is not installed as a service.
The box that says "full test:" does not keep the percentage number of the blocks done after a reboot.
The box goes back to "0"

I didnt notice the number in the "blks done:" box but I will do that today.

The 4800+ is installed as a service with 2 instances of SOB.

The box that says "full test:" keeps the percentage number of the blocks done after a
reboot.

Also, when running a normal program I notice core 2 shows it is running more percentage than core 1 in windows task manager.

Maybe thats why it runs hotter ??

And my MCP and AUX are running a lot hotter with both cores crunching ??

Thanks for all of the replys :D

Richard.

On the "Config" page, what boxes do you have checked?
Do you know if it's restarting an old test over or if it tries to start a new test after rebooting? Look at your k & n values before rebooting.
Is there anything in the 'sb.log' that may be of help? ('sb.log' file is in your SB folder)

It may depend on if you're set to transmit intermediate blocks or not, i don't remember, but after i reboot the "blks done:" goes back to zero for me. I have it set to transmit intermediate blocks.

Hi Spacehead.

I have it set to "transmit intermediate blocks"

I will check the K and N before rebooting next time.

Thanks.

Richard.

winr, on the "normal install", did you change the permissions on the "Program Files\SB" directory so that all users can read AND write to that directory?

Are you running in a non-admin account? That combined with the permissions problem could lead to SB not being able to write it's cache files to keep track of where it's been.
