"...that it is a fire zone, whatever. But to flick her off and call her a b*tch demonstrates bad judgement. I would simply like to ask him to answer the following question: if your mom had done that, would you have liked it if someone did that to her?"

Believe me, being in a fire zone had NOTHING to do with me being pissed, though it would have been the reason for her being towed. I've never been accused of being too polite, but I ain't a pushover either! If my wife hadn't made me wait so long, it probably wouldn't have come to such a head. I may have taken' out my frustration on this person, and I think my wife feels that way, too. If my mom had done that I'd know her stroke had taken a toll, because she's the one who drummed into me, the fact that you obey the rules... ALWAYS! I still make rolling stops and drive a few miles per hour over the limit, but I never pull this kind of crap. Stoop to her level? Yep, I'm guilty this time, but courteous on the road otherwise!

Thats what I was saying man, you dont know the woman's history. What if she had suffered from a stroke, maybe it was an emergency run to the grocer's pharmacy... it could be any number of things. I'm not saying don't confront her, by all means, thats you right, but i think its wrong to call the woman a bad name and flick her off.

I know any one of us here on AT would be mad if that happened to our mom's, no matter WHAT she did.
If I heard somebody yell at my mom, because she had done something wrong, I'd cringe, maybe tell them to back off, but I'd be pretty disappointed in my mom. You're giving this person the benefit of a doubt, and I'm not. I've heard that in Japan, you can leave your purse on a park bench and know it will be there when you return. Something about the family name being shamed if you get caught stealing. Can't say the same about The States or even the city I live in. I can't trust anybody, and for that same reason, they don't get the benefit of a doubt, either.

I heard in Saudi (really, not a joke) people leave money under their empty spring water bottles that they leave outside their apts for the water guys to pick up. People there don't steal either, but they have different reasons not to. 🙂

So basically you parked in the same place she did, a no parking zone, but since you were just waiting in your car you weren't doing anything wrong? Uhh, nice double standard.

And good grief, to get so worked up about someone parking in the wrong place. Have you nothing better to do then complain about something so insignificant as that? Jeez, welcome to a heart attack buddy. If a person blocks you in, or does a hit and run or does something like that, then get upset. But man oh man. Fear thy wrath if you park wrongly. What else sets you off? Someone not wearing a bike helmet? Someone not parking 12 inches away from the curb when parallel parking?

Hi there! Reality is your friend.

Around where I live, the curb by a strip mall is usually a fire lave and carries heavy fines for parking. Most of the time the police cut you some slack if you're dropping off or loading.

I called a woman a bitch too once when she stupidly decided to stop on a busy one lane road with cars behind her to get a soda at a roadside vending machine.

Yep, her I'm special attitude set me off. I see 33% of the people who replied wouldn't have been too pleased with her either. I'd like to know what keeps the other hundreds of people parking around there in check? Why wasn't everybody just leaving their car at the curb? Do some, like this POS, feel there will be no penalty forthcoming for their actions? Some kind of impunity? Again, it's this attitude that pisses me off.

I know that, where some of you live, people probably do this all the time. You probably have punks sitting in front of you in theaters, yapping through the whole show. People cut in line in front of you all the time... well, so far, it doesn't happen here like that, so I ain't used to it, and I ain't gonna sit still for it!

Ornery - << Every one of them parks their car in the lot and hoofs it all of a couple hundred feet into the store. But not her, she's special!>>

Like your wife?

Yeah, it pisses me off too. What are these people thinking? They think they can flip off little old ladies, curse at them, and then think they can get away with it? B@st@rds!

Ornery, I fully understand where you're coming from. It may not mean much, but I stand fully behind you and what you did. God bless America!

Perhaps you should look into some kind of anger management therapy.
Perhaps you should look into a better source for your jokes! Yeah I said it!

All you people who are telling him that he should have "kindly knocked on her windshield and told her she can't park there" are idiots. Ok, maybe it was the one in a million chance that her kid at home really really needed something for his health and she went inside to do something? Why'd it take so long then? She probably would have just flicked him off and drove off is what probably would have happened. Maybe like 10% of you who said that would have actually done it while the other 90% just think you'd be all high and mighty and do that are just dillusional cuzz you know you've got a happy flipping finger.

Last I checked, theres a difference between parking and stopping. So he stops there, and suddenly a fire erupts inside of the store and an engine comes up, he moves his car. For the lady, the fire truck gets to park in the middle of the street, probably blocking more traffic and causing more havoc.

Maybe someone pissed in my corn pops this morning, but even if they didn't, I agree with Ornery.
