SOB: New cruncher

Hey guys,


I am the proud owner of a 2.8 ghz P4, 1GB Corsair Pc-3700XMS, 30GB 10K Raptor drive, abit IC7-max 3....This has not been applied ot SOB yet b/c i have a very odd overheating issue. My case temps are 19C (that's 66F) yet my processor is idling @ 77C...lol. The only problem can either be the IHS or the heat -sensing diode...

well after about 2 weeks of trouble shooting (and having 0 production b/c the 1.2 ghz tbred is floating around somewhere)...i give up and let her go 🙂

so far 14x 215 = 3010mhz w/ ram timings 2.5-3-3-6
1.525 Core/1.45-1.48 Actual
Vcore 2.65 (up from 2.6)

Temps: lol, i'll check them eventually

Rate: 700K cems/s and rising 🙂

Hopefully with this addition and putting the tbred back online (good for 200K cems/s) I will be back on the rise in the stats!

Aye, but it's nothing as compared to Remy and the Captain 😉
[edit] back down to 500K cems/sec...throttling is off but i guess the heat is causing some problems 🙁

Impressive numbers! Hope you get the cooling issue sorted.

The only problem is that you're only a few places behind me in the stats, and I expect I'll lose my coveted 37th place in a matter of days with that monster on the loose 😉

Yeah, if the alcu doesn't fix it then it's RMA time b/c the only problem would be something related to the IHS or an amazingly faulty cpu. at a mere 3.0 ghz it was doing 710K cems/s (as compared to 600K @ 2.8)b4 it overheated so i cannot wait to get either it or the replacement @ max 😉
