BFG - tell me about it. VERY VERY weird. Of course, only one of them has to die and the card is fried. The fans were moving, but it was pretty obvious they were both &quot;sputtering&quot; and were coming to a complete stop at times. I had them both plugged into a Y-splitter, so I wonder if it was the splitter's fault.

Mykex - I like your idea almost as much as I like my own idea - buy a card from Staples, take the new one out, stick my fried one back in, and return it.

Nothing concrete, but from everything I am hearing(no, I can't post sources and yes, they could be wrong) I am expecting limited quantities in mid to late March with better availability in later March early April and widespread(by our standards) distibution by mid to late April. Mass market(Best Buy, Staples etc) I would say no later then mid May.

If you are on your toes, and ready to pay the price, you may well be able to pick one up in about six weeks. That is a long time to be stuck with a V3 though<shudders>

nice one guys ... 99 quid, LOL ... Game and EB are both the same virtually so im not surprised, and ive got both in my town, woooohoooo (as well as a PC world, but then ive sworn that Ill never buy another product off a Dixons subsiduary as long as I live)

Even if I only get 12 months out of it, its got to be worth 99 quid, by then the whole vid~mobo~memory area will be in more reasonable order

Im still surviving with an SLI'ed pair of 12mb V2's and a G100 2D (not listed in sig to reduce embarassment) its respectably playable at 1024 but not exactly feature rich ....

Im a HL Team Fortress die hard and realise that I wont see much improvement visually, but playing live netgames on maps like Avanti or Dustbowl with > 18 players floods the bandwidth telling me I need an upgrade to continue enjoying screenlag free netgames ... oh also I want to see my latest addiction (superbike 2001- EA) in glorious FSAA - the V2's just dont do it justice I feel.

Apart from that it would be nice to free the 2 pci's.

Woohooo - look you can tell im happy, im waffling away, he he .... thought i was gonna have to put up with an overpriced 32 ddr (they charge us thru the nose here - currently £176 (gladiac) for the cheapest 32 DDR GTS anywhere ive found- thats like exchange value of $270, shocking when I see anands review prices for 32 ddr gts for about 111$ - pffft)


Now all I gotta do is find a UK dealer knocking out cheap slot1 P3 700's so I can drop one in my BX6-2 and crank up to 8-900 ... or is that too much to ask, he he.

That's terrible RoboTECH. I just shipped my V5 up to Foxracer. Sold it for $125.00 + shipping. Being a &quot;newbie&quot; I sent it first and am now awaiting payment. I emailed Foxracer with the USPS tracking # but have not heard from him for a couple of days. I hope I haven't done somethin' stupid by not sending it COD or somethin'. You guys ever heard of Foxracer? His Heatware references were pretty good.
