The casinos here in Shreveport will swipe your drivers license through the card reader, then they will place it in a machine that takes a photograph of it. They did that to me one time and it pissed me off so much that I wouldn't go on the boat if they asked me for my ID. I haven't been on one of the boats in years, so they might have changed their procedure now. They probably rip some hair out now for a DNA sample.

No, they just save the data into an unencrypted file, with complete and total access to all employees. Computer is probably hooked to the net as well, with the database files having no password, sitting in the main web root.

Laws about this kind of sh!t need to be passed.

Nice assumptions. What information is on your driver's license that is not available through other public records?

However, most bars will not accept a ticket alone.

Just about any person who gets carded a lot, AND has had a speeding ticket, has both an ID and a DL in Illinois.

yeap.

I have both a Illinois drivers license and a ID card.

Also (in IL at least) if you are disabled and you get a ID card and it says Disabled. then you do not need to purchase a fishing, hunting license or pay to enter state parks etc (father in law has one)

What he OP should have done when asked if he had a DL is say yes..but it is suspended. He lost it when he plowed into a bunch of elderly people waiting for there SS checks. or make up soemthing bad like that heh.

I feel like you look like you were guilty to this guy by just leaving. I would've fought this in a civilized manner.

i dunno why you couldn't just say "yes i do" and get your ID card, and walk into the casino to win some money... this guy just wasn't used to looking at id cards, and he was just being weary
