We'll pretend you're the only winner, and after taxes and other shenanigans you're left with 300 million give or take.

How do you even digest that you now have that much money?

Where do you begin to spend this kind of cash?

How do you think it would negatively impact you?

Tell me how you would spend all 300 million smackers, I'm curious to see how some of you would spend it. Bonus points for donating to Elevenpog's wallet fund.

By eating the winning ticket...Oh wait...f..SOB!

Bigger house, faster cars, and a snootier, more condescending attitude toward everyone, especially internet dwelling dweebs.

I'd start my own business helping people overcome their own innate, natural stupidity turning lives around 1 by 1. A counselor of sorts. I'd charge anti-pro-bono, so they would only have to pay me if they don't get results because they won't do what I say. Unfortunately for them but entirely their fault, only about 1% of the people would get free counseling because they would be the only ones who would do what I say. They'd also be the only ones who wouldn't need free counseling because they would have turned their lives around.

Either that or start a tech company. Maybe both. Start a tech company consisting entirely of employees from the 1% that implement my advice from the anti-pro-bono counseling company.😀

ATOT answer: HOOKERS N BLOW!!!!!!!!!

Real answer: Quit my job. After taxes, let's assume I got.. $300M. I would probably put about $240M of it straight into stocks/CD/IRA type of funds. The other $60M I would use to buy small things for all of my family. No cars and crazy shit, but maybe I'd help them remodel that kitchen they always wanted, etc. Then, I'd pay off my student loans and my g/f's student loans. I'd probably spend 1-2 months traveling the world to all the various places I've always wanted to.

Then after I got done with all that, I'd take maybe $10-20M and start up my own real estate company. Managing properties and probably start up a construction company. I'd likely buy a few nice homes in my favorite cities, and probably a few cars, but I wouldn't go crazy buying Lambo's and Bugatti's.

You glorious bastard! That's one of the best answers I've seen.

Not sure where the $300 million after taxes comes from, but the lump sum would have been right around there, BEFORE taxes. You would be closer to $170 million, depending on state taxes.

Latest thread says it's up to $485M. After taxes (assuming they take ~40%) would be $291M.

Even if its $170... the $130M dif doesn't even matter. At that point you probably start struggling to find ways to even spend that much money.

Plus if you're not a stupid douche, you'd invest ~70-80% of it anyway and live off the interest/dividends.

Buy land to build my own house complete with 18-hole world class golf course. Buy a yacht w/ helicopter. Put the rest into trust to pay for my many, many servants. Really, $300M isn't even close to enough to do all the things I'd like to do.

I probably wouldn't tell anyone that I had won, save for a few close family members, and I wouldn't say how much I had won, just that I had a small win in the powerball.

Clear the minimal debt I have.
Buy a really nice house. Maybe two.
Get a few nice cars.
Take a really nice vacation.
Invest the rest to live comfortably.
Donate a chunk every year to some charities.

With $300 million. I would give away all but $100 million to family, friends and charity. $100 million would be way more than I can spend in my lifetime and would probably be enough to carry my descendants for many generations. I would put $90 million into same safe investments and it would turn into a trust after my death. The other $10 million I would use to buy stuff I don't need.

Yeah, definately this. I don't want to be a target for thieves, scammers, and other people who feel obligated to get a chunk of my winnings just because I got lucky and they didn't.

Here is an explanation of the value of a lottery: http://fox6now.com/2015/02/11/that-...ackpot-is-actually-an-exaggeration-heres-why/

lol $150mil at 4% (generally a safe withdrawal rate, allowing the balance to grow with inflation) will give you $6mil a year.

For perspective, the amount you could safely withdraw annually without reducing your stockpile of money would let someone else retire six times. 😛

Yes. Also the friend/family relationships that i have should be based on people caring for me for who I am, not how much money I have. So that's why I wouldn't tell most people. It shouldn't matter.

delete public social media accounts
change my phone number
quit my job

and then probably spend a month just sleeping and playing video games while trying to figure out what to do with my life.

1. Buy huge tracts of land.
2. Private runway.
3. Runway is straight section on personal track.
4. Farm sod for 300' along paved areas, let the rest be wild.
