It was the first spot RIGHT off of the main highway and I basically did a severe 180 off of the road to squeeze into the spot......I noticed the Handicapp road sign for the other spot immediately to the right, but mine didn't have one.

When I came outside again i saw a bunch of angry people staring at me from a nearby bus stop...I walked to the back of my car, and in shock, found the handicapp logo there, glaring at me.

Needless to say, I fled the scene, and appearantly nothing will come of it, so if the popo comes asking...

you did not see me. you do not know me. It was someone else's car, I had a docotrs' appointment and a hernia, I jsut had surgery, that crossaint was in labor officer ...etc

That's not bad. Some guy parked in a handicap spot, and when a person in a wheel chair told him he can't park there, the guy punched him out.

I knew a guy who parked in a handicapped spot once - he didn't want to, but his friend talked him into it. A handicapped person ended up having to park farther away, her wheelchair batteries died and she rolled down a hill and was hurt. They had to take her to the hospital. An angry mob destroyed his car. The friend went to the hospital and fell in love with the lady in the wheel chair, so they bought her a new wheelchair. Except it wasn't really new, it was used and in bad condition. She was last seen rolling down a hill out of control in the wheelchair.

Technically (I think) if it?s not posted in front of the vehicle in most places it can't be enforced. Saying that, my daughter has a handicapped placard that we use for her. I give the wife a hard time about using it to just run in somewhere if our daughter isn't getting out too.


Also, I have problems with handicap people parking in some handicapped places. Someone with a knee problem with a cane has no business taking up a Van accessible handicap spot if there are other options.

It's conceivable that the handicapped spots were full when that person parked there. They would have parked in two spots for the same reason that handicapped spots are so wide - they need the extra room to get in and out of the car.

That's my best guess.

We got there five minutes after it opened. It's highly unlikely that someone was taking up those spots and then left in those five minutes.

Either way, I tend to give peopel withotu alegs a break since they, well come on, they have no legs....

As long as they don't directly encroach on Mr. goosemaster's personal space or demand money or other material goods besides food of me (it's a known scientific fact that if a bum asks me for food I will immediately buy them a sammich), it's hard for msot people to piss me off.

I hate ambiguous handicapped spots. By me, there's two spots next to each other, of which the front of the spots are a sidewalk, not parking bumbers. Both of those "curbs" are blue; but only one spot has the handicap stencil on the asphalt and the signpost in front. So is that second spot handicapped? or no?

Don't care if it has some markings on the ground. A handicap sign should be standing for it to be a legal handicap spot. No disabled sign... no disabled parking.

Dirt, debris, or faded paint could easily hide the markings on the pavement. Parking lots change parking space layouts and the disabled spots needs to be marked with a sign.
