So Yahoo tried to download a adware/virus onto my computer

It might matter to you, it doesn't to me. Go spend your time on something more important than worrying about what people have listed in their signature.

I suppose if you have no life that sort of nit picking might be your thing though.
 
I had the amost exact problem earlier tonight <avast AV but with Opera browser>. Never happended before with yahoo homepage.

Hummm...maybe Microsoft did it to teach Yahoo a lesson... don't want to let us bought you out..eh? Fear this!!!!! 🙂
