Chrono Trigger and this other action RPG...was it secret of mana? it had really good graphics

Secret of Mana's graphics sucked compared to Link to the Past

Um... I think you're mistaken. I didn't like the game, but Secret of Mana's graphics were far superior. Zelda was one of those games (like Super Mario Word) made early on by Nintendo where they were just scratching the surface of the SNES's potential. Square and Enix both really got the most impressive graphical results, though.

Link to the past.

Never played FFVI, would u recommend it to someone who loved FFVII?

all pre-PSX FF's are very different games... mostly in terms of graphics.

FF1-6 are all done with 2D sprites. If you can get past that, then you'll be hooked. FF6 had the coolest characters (and the most of any FF, am i right?) Best soundtrack too.

IT is far better then FFVII. not as many cut scenes. not to mention the story is great, the characters are entertaining but the graphics are dated (duh its a old game).

I STILL play FFVI on my PS2. i am glad SquarEnix released them on the PS format.

Super Mario World
Castlevania 4
Earthbound
Demon's Crest
Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Super Metroid
Super Mario All-Stars (yea..technically all NES games but the updated visuals were great)
Super Mario Kart
Pocky and Rocky

I've never played Secret of Mana myself, but I've watched my wife play and I thought the graphics looked pretty bad. The color choices seemed strange to me.

Link to the past...

This needs more pollage.

But really..Link to the past is such a solid game. I LOVE many other SNES games like mario kart and the such but really...LTP rules. ITs so crisp and clean..fun game, fun puzzles, fun gameplay..
