If you think KB/M support in consoles is an awesome idea, go do it. Dev a game for PS3. PS3 supports it. Wii supports at least a keyboard (Monster Hunter Tri). Hell, if it's such a great idea, get some investors together and invent the console that has KB/M support.
You could be the first to do it. If you're right and it is an awesome idea that everyone wants, you'll make millions.
I have no opinion one way or another whether you're right or wrong, but if you think you're smarter than Sony/Nintendo/MS and all the game developers who refuse to implement KB/M support in their games, go out and prove it, make bank, and be the guy that proved the industry wrong.
I'm gonna come off sounding like a jerk, but there are SO many threads in forums complaining about companies and their development strategies, marketing strategies, etc. Company X is horrible for implementing DRM. Music industry is evil for suing file sharers. Game developer is stupid for charging for online play. Console developer is stupid for charging for online play, for overpriced accessories, for proprietary accessories, for lack of whater support.
If you think they're stupid or wrong, get off your ass and prove it. Startup the company that advertises that they are DRM free. Start a recording company that advertises that they don't sue file sharers. Be the company that doesn't charge for online play. Invent the console that supports cheap, USB accessories and third party driver support.
If you're right, the free market will prove it. If you're SURE you're so right, you shouldn't be afraid to put your money where your mouth is (or ask a bunch of investors to put their money where your mouth is).
