So, will my vid card be the bottleneck in my new build?

As you can see in my sig, my card is aged. I am doing what will likely be my last system build (Ryzen 5 3600, 500GB NVMe boot drive, 16GB DDR4 3200, Asrock B450M Pro4 mobo), but I plan to keep my HD7700 1GB card and Acer 24" 1920x1080 display. Will this video card prove to be a bottleneck in the mix, and if so, what would be a *reasonable* upgrade for moderate gaming and photo post-processing that would be in keeping with the other components? Thanks for any suggestions that don't break the bank.

Yes it will be a bottleneck. If you are looking for a decent upgrade, try an RX 580.

I second this choice. Moderate gaming = the 580.
I do hear whispers of lower end Navi type cards being released in the next few months if you can wait also.

For $10 more I would get the 8 GB version at least.

$195 vs $130. Granted, the 850 is more powerful and has twice the RAM; that may be where the $65 goes.

Right. The marks that card gets are understandably lower than the 580, but I really don't think I need all that horsepower to do what I do. Thanks for the link.
