So will graphics cards ever utilise HDMI Outputs fo use with say a HDMI cable, it is a digital interface so surly it can supersede DVI-D. I know HDMI cables also support sound transmission down the same cable, but the pins that carry sound can just be left redundant can they not. If not HDMI then maybe a reworked flavour of a HDMI cable?
Any thoughts or theories ?
EDIT: Just found this link, so DVI to HDMI is some what pin compatible, but still do you ever think GFX card companies will ever utilise a smaller form factor cable?
