Just kind of wondering what current opinions on the 360 are. Personally, I think Gears of War looks fantastic, though the rest of the game lineup is a bit lacking. Still, I plan on getting one....but not until the inevitable holiday bundle, price drop, or hardware revision. The system is a year old now at $400 and has been seeing lots of deals, I think it's only a short matter of time until it starts shipping with a game, larger hard drive, hdmi output, 65nm chips, at a lower price point, or some combination of the above. But that's just me, how about the rest of you all?
So why don't you have a 360?

too expensive.
most consoles arent worth much to me, especially if im only going to play them so often. I average maybe 2 hours a week worth of video games currently. including computer games and console games.
no 300-400 dollar console is worth that little entertainment.

I simply don't play games.
Funny I grew up playing 30-40 hours a week playing games. (Diablo, Starcraft, FPS, etc)
I've always thought my life would be miserable by being enslaved by vid games...
As a 23 yr old, I'm having the best time of my life.... constantly out with friends, trying new things (just got back from Europe, did skydiving, white water rafting this year), creating memories here and there.
I always think to myself... If I were to spend $500 or xxx on games/PCs/consoles, think of all the traveling I can do with it instead...

Still too expensive and there still are only a handful of games I'd be interested in playing. Also, I'm still waiting to see what will happen with the PS3 and the Wii. I'll probably buy the wii within the next six months, and then buy either a 360 or a PS3 a year later.

Te thing you have to think about though, perticularly with the 360, is that its not just a gaming platform. MS has turned the 360 into basically a home theater PC with Movie downloads, HD-DVD drive, etc. That is a big reason i will buy one when i have the money. The 360 offers much more functionality than just playing games. :thumbsup:
Not enough games, and the second-rate backwards compatibility by emulation means only some Xbox-1 games run and not even all of those run well.
I might pick up the next revision if it includes the HD-DVD drive and a 100 GB HD.

I'm all about PC gaming. And there's only a few 360 games that I think are worth it, and some of those can just be played on the PC (i.e. Oblivion).
Not as much replay with consoles. Man, over the years, I've poured an extreme amount into PC games like Duke3d, Quakeworld/CTF/Team Fortress, Quake 2/ActionQuake2/mods, Diablo 2, HL1 mods (DoD, Firearms, Paintball, CS, tons more), C&C series, and for the past year or two: BF2 and Source/HL2 games, and I don't see much end in sight! Man to think that doesn't even touch all of the games I've played, but even just one of those I listed I put in such a ridiculous amount of time into! And still playing primarily BF2 and HL2 for the forseeable future. There's no console games except Ninja Gaiden that I have a desire to play on my roommate's Xbox. Less replay.

rum and cokes are my new addiction of choice (and the occassional guiness... yum).. At 25 i'd rather be out with friends drinking, dancing, or even bowling. Though I have a gamecube and it does play a part in pre-gaming - i think i'll get the wii too because it seems like a system that I non-gamers will enjoy while lushing out on my couch.

i personally do not own an X360, never planned on getting one, and still don't... roommates have one, and i've been playing that, although only game i've played on it is Gears of War. Fun game, but not enough of a game to force me to buy the console myself, since it's also inevitable for it to come to PC.. just a while down the road. plus most of the games that I like on it are also available on the PC.
the PS3, on the other hand, of which I AM getting, has quite a few games that I will enjoy and are not available anywhere else.
