I mean it's a great way to ensure consistent, accountable, and transparent moderating isn't it...
Not that i generally have a problem with it, but it's a known fact that we all ride a rollercoaster of what's allowed and what isn't, that varies from mod to mod, and there's an unwritten rule that any speculation about mods, however harmless, is a bannable offence, something i can see no basis for at all.
I love the forum, but it's a real blight on what is IMO the best forum on the net (and believe me i've sampled a few). Given the size and no doubt considerable revenue raising power of the forums (i ASSUME that's how AT makes money, and with the sort of forum membership we have those forum ad banners would be worth a considerble amount i assume) i certainly feel it's time the system was given a rather more professional overhaul...
And what harm would it do? Most other forums have designated and known Mods, and they seem to run fine...
Anyway this will no doubt get locked and deleted instantly, 'cos Mods seem very touchy about the subject... and encouraging open discussion on the subject isn't something they encourage, i just hope they see this as a reasonably intelligent suggestion/proposal and really hope they don't ban me as well...
It is just my 2c, and i'm only using FI for what it's intended as i understand it, and of course i'm keeping a screenshot/copy of this as i will certainly appeal at great length any ban that is handed down to me as a result of posting this...
EDIT: Kudos to anyone brave enough to comment in this thread, as i can't guarantee that 'by association' won't apply to get you banned too
