may want to wait to crown them

it's on 3 channels because some cable co's won't add NFL Network

doesnt every one get nbc and cbs as local channels ?

yes but it was originally only on NFL Network (which many people don't get)

since a lot of potential records may be broken, the commissioner asked this game to be played across the nation, otherwise west coast might not see it if its only on one channel. so to cover all regions of US, they are broadcasting on CBS, NBC, and NFL network

Err no. It was because the game was originally on NFL Network, and a lof of cable companies don't offer the NFL network as part of a basic package. So very few people would have been watching this game if they hadn't simulcasted on NBC and CBS.

yeah. but that does not matter since the game is sopposed to only on NFL channel.

So the NFL can run ads bitching about cable companies that won't include the NFL Network in their basic cable package.

ah, yea, because the west coast only get fox games on sunday, and everyone else gets cbs games.

Gumball is awful.. really bad.

Basically, the NFL caved. They know that people aren't demanding the nfl network enough for the cable companies to pick it up.

If only 30 or whatever percent of potential viewers were able to see history be made because of goodell and the nfl network, it would be an outrage.

Whats really bad is that yes, this was a showcase of the NFL network and what it offers. The channel is terrible however, with poor picture quality and the worst
play by play on television. And the season never ends on it? Ok so we get to watch meaningless analysis and old clips during the off season.. yess....

Give me a break, keep all the games on local channels or just lower the price of the crappy network.

The HD picture quality sure did suck. And Bryant Gumball....worst announcer, ever.

Only if you leave out Chris Collinsworth, his compatriot in the booth.

Take the Pats/Dolphins game from last week.......pass was made from Brady to Moss, Moss caught it and a flag was thrown for pass interference on the Dolphin defender.

Since the pass was ruled as a completed catch, naturally the Patriots declined the penalty and everyone lined up where the completed catch occurred for the next series of downs.

But Collinsworth couldn't be satisfied by that.....reran the catch over and over and says "Moss was out of bounds.....if I were the Dolphins, I'd dispute the call."

Why? Even if the catch were overturned on whether it was out of bounds or not, the Dolphins still had that pesky pass interference flag that could have been dragged back out and reapplied to the play. So, that's why the Dolphins didn't dispute the call....what would it matter? Even worse, if the Dolphins had thrown the red flag and lost, that'd have been a lost time out.....all on a pass that was going to go the Patriots' way no matter what.

But Collinsworth seems to forget a lot of the minutiae of the game and its rules....
