So why did CNN not "bleep" out Bush's "sh_t"

Total guess here, but perhaps they were daring the FCC to fine them for the Pres cussing? Would be interesting

I assume it's because it's a new story. Sort of like how the History Channel can do a documentary about Playboy and show blatant nudity, but it doesn't matter because it's history. Sort of. 😉

Is CNN broadcast anywhere, or is it just cable & satellite? As far as I know, the FCC "decency" regulations only apply to broadcast.

Bingo! Praise the Lord, the twits at the FCC cannot touch cable/satellite.

The same reason Comedy Central can play South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut unedited: the FCC can't restrict what is allowed to play on cable. Cable channels have their own censoring policies set by each company.

It's funny how Comedy Central doesn't mind keeping that movie uncensored but they'll censor out the obvious depiction of Muhammed (even though he's been shown uncensored several times already).

No I think it's perhaps interesting, perhaps nothing at all. I just noticed the other news stations I watched bleeped it out.

Why are things bleeped out at all - utterly annoying. Remember it's just words.

But think of the CHILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLDREN!!! Their minds will be irrevocably soiled if they hear such an abomination!!!!
