That's one of my two gripes about these small laptops.

Keyboard and LCD.

The 8600 was a real steal of a deal and still portable (not as bloated as the 9100 or XPS).

Got mine last night, only getting time tonight to really play with it.

I like keyboard, except for the period key... it's way too small.

And the extended 8-cell battery looks kinda silly, but the battery life seems good (after full charge, it's been on now for 2 hours and I have 77% left!!). We'll see how long it REALLY lasts later.

All in all, I am pretty happy. I actually like the screen too.

OH man, that sucks! I think I got lucky, since I don't have any on this 700m **knocks on wood**

Is that enough pixels for them to exchange you a new one?

It's way more than enough in my book. Personally, I'm willing to live with a few, but this is ridiculous.

I'm a very easy-going person, but this makes me think what I can get out of a replacement.

Other than the horrid screen, the 600M is as I expected, cheaply-built. ;)

I have no problem with the screen, in fact, I love the screen on 700m.

In my case, I already have a Thinkpad R40, so I don't need another similar size laptop.

Almost done configuring the laptop the way I want it.... it's going to be my desktop replacement so I am transferring over all of my documents and such. Just takes a long time. :)
