I?m 61 with 25 and 35 year old boys. They both have girl friends but don?t want to be parents. :(

My wife and I are suffering through a grand parent crisis with no grand kids in site. It could be worse I guess.

37 with 3.5 and 1.5 YO boys.

My wife and I both work relatively 'normal' shifts but are extremely fortunate to be surrounded by our families. The kids are with my parents for 2 days (immersion into Indian culture) and her parents another two (innundated with krautness :D); my wife is always home on Thursdays.

Quality daycare around here is seems to be about $1500/month per child. :Q

I'm 39 and I have a 19 year old, a 13 year old, and a 7 year old (all from me). It's a trip, and I wouldn't change a thing. But I am glad that I didn't have another baby when the youngest one turned 6!!!! The muffin shop is CLOSED!

What's more fun is that I go to work at 2 am and meet my wife to pick up my son at around 930 am after work. Then I get to come home and be Mr. Mom until 7 pm and usually get to bed by 10 or so.

Having said that, this is what my wife and I choose to do. We wanted to keep our kids with us at home and avoid the daycare scene, and having two jobs with these schedules allows that to happen.

We did a variation of that. I stayed home and worked odd jobs, did some nannying for family, and finished college over the first 14 years or so. I didn't start my career until 5 years ago. My career sort of grew out of all the volunteer work I did as a 'stay at home' mom.... I built enough of a resume as a volunteer to end up teaching for my neighborhood school. It's a very rewarding life, but exhausting a lot of the time.

32 with 4 year old daughter. Don't know if we'll have another kid or not. I'm happy just with my daughter but my wife wants another kid.

31 with a 6 and a 4 yo. I wouldn't want to be old and dying when my kids are in their 20s. But I don't think you should have any kids if you aren't ready for them, financially or mentally.

I'm 60 and I have bastards all over the place. They all live with their Mommas so I don't have to deal with them:thumbsup:

Anyone else having a blast in their senior years with young ones?

Early 40's are not your "senior" years .

And its obvious that the word "sarcasm" is not in your vocabulary.

Apparently it's too easy to detect these days. Everyone understands my posts for some reason.
