So who's behind the anti-abortion movement?

Is it primarily men or women? For it to be a fair issue, I think women should be leading the charge, but most of the anti-abortion terrorists have been men.

For the record I can't imagine a woman saying she's going to abort my child. But then again, I can't imagine trying to tell her what to do. That's why I think people that have sex should seriously think about the consequences.

They can't. They are too busy offering them shelter. If they were to speak the sperm may be accidentally harmed and we can't have that now, can we?

eh? I'm against abortion after a certain point... like when the fetus is basically a baby and should be treated with the respect of any other human life. But that's just me. The line to draw on when a fetus is human is pretty debateable.

early 'anti-abortion' movement in the late 1800s was northeastern WASPs concerned about Catholic (and usually) Mexican immigrants changing the demographics of the country (again, amazing how we've gone through so much and moved so little). also against abortion was the then rather new AMA, which saw it as an issue to try to build the prestige and exclusivity of the medical profession from the bone-saw butchers that doctors had been through most of history (remember that until the 1920s hospitals were where people went for comfort while dying and it wasn't until then that an encounter with a doctor gave you a better than 50/50 chance of coming away better off).

I've known quite a few guys who have to deal with it. If they don't, they get their pay garnished.

A lot of the people who oppose abortion do not do so because they have any real respect for the fetus, but rather because they believe that pregnancy is God's righteous punishment for women who engage in immoral sexual behavior.
