No because aluminum caps don't look great on me.

Also, thinking that BING somehow is better than google is laughable.

Also, explain the impact of a single consolidated privacy policy rather than 36 different ones. Explain how it affects the data that they already have on you and voluntarily gave them. Explain how the data that they already have and their methods of collection which arne't changing, is somehow infringing upon your privacy with a simple privacy policy consolidation which I'm pretty sure you didn't even read.

No.

I also don't sit in a faraday cage wearing a tin hat.
This is a great argument because it implies strongly that if a person switches away from google due to privacy concerns they are as crazy as a person wearing a tinfoil hat. I am convinced.

I switched a few weeks back to Bing. Eventually everything we do will be fvcking indexed altogether and that's that, but I will fight it as I can until that happens, since it benefits me in no way to be another chunk of data pulled back instantly by an intelligent search engine.

It does imply that, it's referencing the notion that changing from one search engine to another can insure large corporations don't get hold of any super secret data, like your search results or your IP.

Okay. Explain how Bing's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy is different and why switching to Bing stops your personal info from going online

What is scary is hell is Google knows were you are if you are using WiFi with a broadcast SSID. They drove around and obtained the location of each router and use triangulation of the routers your wifi card can detect to determin your location. They don't even need your permission, they just do this.

No that would be dumb, you are tracked all kinds of other ways. If you don't want to be tracked go off the grid

Google stores all of your searches and other data.

Twitter uploads all of the contacts on your phone to their database without asking.

I like where this is going.

I've switched to www.duckduckgo.com for my home page. The thing about Google is that it's a habit thing. It's a world known service and most people use it and we even say "google it" when searching. But honestly, the switch has not really been that hard. I just switched my home page to DDG and naturally I use it. For images they have the bing images on the side. I'm not a huge MS fan, but my guess is they don't harvest data as much as Google does.

I also blocked all Google cookies. Though I'm sure they still track by IP. Whenever you go to a website that has adsense ads or other google products on it, they've tracked what site you went to. Really what I should do is block the actual google hosts right at my firewall. I still use Google adsense on my website though, I should probably switch to something else as it would be hypocrite of me to block adsense on every site I visit when I'm actually using it on my own sites.

I have no issues with sites logging certain activity, but Google is taking it way too far, and what makes it scary is how everything is linked together, and the fact that they just threw us into google+ without asking and now everyone we know can probably see what you search for etc... If not, I'm sure they'll just randomly throw in that feature eventually.

I also cannot stand the Google instant search crap they added a while back. I actually wanted to switch a long time ago but never really bothered till recently. You can turn that shit off, but you have to be logged in to your google account for that setting to stick properly. That means logging in on very PC you use, thus enabling even more tracking. No thanks.

Skyhook did that before Google, Apple does it, Microsoft does it, everyone does it.

lol no, the people jumping ship to Bing crack me up. MS does the exact same thing, I'll stick with google as I don't care what info they have for me.
