I've stopped for the last few months, but I'll go back when Burning Crusade comes out.

Just out of curiosity, what do you miss? And what kind of player were you before you took the hiatus?

The economic aspect of it. I liked acting as a broker, buying and reselling goods, channeling goods via the various cross faction auction houses, 5-man party PvE (i did not like raids) and Battlegrounds.

I was a lvl 60 priest on the horde side, rolling dwarf priest next time I think, if I can get my RL friends back into the game (we quit at the same time).

I play occasionally; haven't in the past month though, mainly because I don't raid and I didn't want to PvP for no real gain.

Played a lot today and yesterday though, since I'm aiming for the epic PvP gear. Even though the items in TBC will be better, this gear will help me now and it gives me something to do (just need to find a group to pvp with to speed up the process).

I only play a couple hours a day max... it keeps me wanting more the next day.

Raiding on the other hand day after day... that's not me.

Starting up again in prep for Burning Crusade. Made a 38 Alliance Warrior to go with my 60 Horde Druid. Had to dig up mods again.

I'm still playing. I don't plan to quit for a while.

Orin and Leadshot on Twisting Nether. RP/PVP realm. Currently trying to progress through Naxx in a race against the TBC Clock.

I still play... been playing since game launch~

Heh, I remember when the game had been out for a year and my main had 120 days played. That's a good average of 8 hours a day every day :p.

I just came off a long break to try out the new pvp system. Just trying to find out which character I want to concentrate on now that good gear is readily available for any of them via pvp.

I have 5 characters to choose from btw:

60 rogue
60 shaman
60 priest
45 warlock
32 warrior

I've been out of the loop for a while, can anyone offer suggestions on which of these classes will be the least gimped (in pvp, I hate raiding) after the xpac goes into effect?

Rogue or Priest is probably your best bet. I think I've had the most fun playing my Rogue in PVP, although the best thing is how much more long you can live while in combat as a Priest compared to a Rogue. Especially when it comes to multiple people, it's much easier to just heal yourself as a priest ;). But there's nothing more fun than killifying people without them being able to even fight back.

I haven't specced my priest yet, but I'm thinking about going full Discipline instead of being Shadow. Shadow really got a lame 41 point talent. The amount of mana isn't high that it returns and the damage isn't that great for how much mana it costs. It just adds to the overall DPS.

i dunno, healing yourself in pvp is almost worthless. now as a priest, it might be easier since you have the shield spell and prevents interruptions. usually i'm getting pounded by too many enemies or maybe i just wait too long to try to heal. i can never heal my self for anything significant as a shaman.

You should play EVE. People have been known to play it just as a market simulation game.

As a shaman you'll probably rely on damage more than actually healing yourself, especially if you spec far down into Elemental/Enhancement. If you have Nature's Swiftness, just use that. Especially if you're a Tauren, do the way-too-overused Warstomp -> Nature's Swiftness -> Pray A Priest Doesn't Dispel You Because You Didn't Macro -> Mega-Uber-Heal

I have no problem when it comes to healing PVP as a priest, because I can either fear guys off me, or they're at range anyway. Shields also prevent cast interruption and so does martyrdom (if I get crit, 100% chance to not be interrupted while casting a spell for... 6 seconds I think?). I'm really pondering spec'ing into Discipline over Shadow to see if I can have more fun. I've already done enough killing as a shadow priest :p. My newest goal is to get the Reflective Shield (or whatever it's called) talent and try to kill soemone by healing myself and just shielding whenever I can

The only disappointing thing is that Shadow's so nice when it comes to solo PVE. My priest was such a bad ass that he's done crazy things such as solo Alexi Barov (the guy at the Bulwark) by kiting him from the Bulwark, through Western Plaguelands, down through Alterac Moutains, through Hillsbrad, into the rugged Arathi Highlands, down through the wetness of the Wetlands, into the passes of Loch Modan, through the biting cold of Dun Morogh and into Ironforge where I used the Elites to kill him :D. I don't think that solo would've been possible without Blackout.

Wait? The shield now stops interruptions from kick and earthshock?

Level 60 Orc Rogue on Cenarion Circle. I'm also in the process of levelling my current level 25 Undead Mage too.
