Vote for Kerry. There is virtually no chance Congress will turn Democratic in the next election, and Kerry will not carry much of a mandate if he wins. This will limit the damage either party can cause for at least the next two years, almost certainly four. It also removes Bush, his merry band of misfits, and much of the baggage they've accumulated over the last three years. It gives us four years to see whether Kerry can deliver the goods. If so, he may deserve your reelection vote. If not, he still won't do as much damage as Bush.
Re. your comment on Kerry, I think it's just another sign of the Bushies' smear campaign. Kerry doesn't place world opinion higher than Americans'. He does, however, respect world opinion and recognize that everyone benefits when the U.S. tries to work collaboratively with the world instead of acting like the neighborhood bully. While this seems pretty radical compared to Bush-lite, it is really the approach taken by most Presidents of both parties. It's no big deal ... other than dramatically reducing the number of body bags while ensuring the U.S. gets more of what it wants.
