So who knows anything about knives?

I have a handful to figure out what to do with (absolutely no attachment to any of them) but I don't have a clue as to what any of them are. If I can get a little cash, great, if not, no big deal. Anyone have any suggestions?

I feel pretty confident in saying that they are junk. Second pic, left to right:

I think far right is a royal marine style dagger, could possibly have value depending on age and authenticity.

I would recommend posting something similar on a more credible site such as bladeforums. People there might be able to help you figure some things out. They'll probably want more detailed pictures of the knives though. If you get nothing else, hit up a pawn shop or give them away. I'm sure you could find a few people who might get some sort of use out of some of those knives.

donate the rusty machetes to some third world help organization so they'll pass them to someone who knows what to do with them. Like going through the jungle or something, or cutting the tall trees.

Holy shit! The last knife in the last picture is worth some money if it's original. It looks like a Fairbairne-Sykes knife from WWII. They were carried by the British SAS.

I see a lot of interesting stuff. Dunno the value, but I'd love to have that collection.

Edit:
The knife right next to that is a sgian dubh; a Scottish sock knife. Could be worth something depending on age, but probably not.

First knife with the black bakelite type handle is a US bayonet. I think those came into use during the Vietnam era. The machete that's closest to that is a US military machete from the same generation.. They tend to break with use. I went through a few of them. Later models had a nifty plastic sheath with a builtin sharpener. That was convenient.

Only ones that caught my eye were the Fairbain Sykes and that skean dhu. The dimensions on the Sykes looks legit from the pics, you might have something there. Everything else looks to be either cheap replica material or easy to come by stuff.

Thank you for all the replies. It seems that most knife forums don't like what we call "price checks" here. I'm more than happy to search out what they are worth but I need to know what they are in order to do so. Hard to do that when most have no markings on them.

You need to hit the local knife show and find a vender willing to explain what you have.
