I would vote for Kucinic but the media almost totally ignores him so he gets no recognition. They only mention him if they are trying to poke fun like declaring him the "longshot candidate".

Sad to say, but modern American politics seems to weed out rational types and all that are left are some variety of total buffoons sporting either elephant or donkey labels. In such a situation it would be nice to have some more rational third parties but when you are talking libertarians, you are talking non starters also. And the other danger of third parties is that they will play the role of spoiler, splitting the vote and allowing the greater evil to win. And voting for Nader in 2000 probably doomed Gore--and we got GWB.

So I have to laugh when someone posts a thread like this. While I am not happy will Hillery Clinton, I am almost positive the Republican can easily come up with a candidate in 08 who will make Hillary look positively angelic in comparison should she be the democratic nominee. The republicans can also
come up with a candidate who I think is a better choice than Hillery.

But now a days you don't get rational candidates so you vote for the lesser of two evils.

I'll vote for Hilliary if there are no decent candidates only to get Bill back in the White House, I'm not sure about Obama, I've said it a few times before but he needs more experience running a large-scale government. I don't see any Republican candidates I'd be interested in voting for, but then again I haven't been interested in a Republican candidate since... ever.

God bless America, were we have 50 options for Miss America, but only 2 options for President of the United States. Long live 2 party democracy!

Honestly i wouldn't vote for either, they both seem to be taking universal healthcare as their primary issue, and i think that would be a huge mistake for this country.

To make both sides fair, no candidate is standing out right now.

Well if her opponent were Newt, Mitt or some other Repulican of their ilk I might. Regarding McCain, it would depend on his stances when he does run (I mean his real stances, not the ones he's stating now for the sake of party unity)

I like McCain's personal views on a lot of things, but like most politicians he's shown himself to be a pretty annoying tool when it comes to actually standing up for what he thinks. Hell, GWB himself is better at really saying what he thinks than McCain is, and THAT is not a good selling point for McCain. I'm convinced I agree with McCain on a number of issues, just as I'm equally convinced he's not going to stick by his views if the wind blows the other way. I was ready to like him again when he took a principled stand against our treatment of detainees, but with Republican pressure he folded like a cheap card table. He's just another politician, no matter how much he tries to convince us otherwise.

As for the topic, I don't think I'd vote for Hillary. I don't have this pathological hatred of her like a disturbingly large number of people seem to have, but I strongly disagree with her socially conservative "pro-family" nonsense.

I really know about zero of her stances, but I can say I find her highly irritating on the subject of video games and her continued stance of censorship towards them.

Looking at her website, she's always very careful to not give an opinion on the Iraq matter, so that doesn't sit well with me either. Be for or against, please - but be something.
