Yup.. so far no body has got it..

this time I am rooting in my family and asking them for numbers so I can have some other input other than my sorry ass quick picks.

I still cant make my mind up of if I want to go 26 annual payments or a cash value.. though personally the 26 annual payments will give quite a bit more on the long run.. and its an investment that will last.

TGG

Edit: update from 131 to 138 Million.
Edit: no one won last nights drawing.. jackpot will be around 170 million for saturday's drawing.

I bought $3 worth. We'll see what happens.

BTW- cue all the people who think they are smart by saying "Lottery = tax on those bad at math."

Lump sum is better than 26 payments. You will get more money with lump sum and careful investing. You can easily live off the interest alone. Think about in 20+ years, due to inflation that money won't be worth as much.

i also heard something that if u take the 26 payments, investment firms will approach you and will pay you big bucks (more than the cash payout) to take over the payments, as they can prolly make a lot of money through smart investments, and you get a larger lump sum than the gov't can provide
