RenderCube

The company is owned by one of my engineering instructors. He designed it for CAD, 3D animation and rendering. But it would also make one bitchin RC5 crack box!! :D:D The RenderCube would make a fine addition to TACube. ;)

The fact that eight networked computers can fit into a cube that's only 16.7" is amazing. And for less than $8000 US it's an awesome deal (maybe I should post this in the hot deals forum as well). It's an all aluminum case and it's very quiet. I think I'll start saving my pennies. :)

So who wants one? ;)

Is that $8K just for the case? And I'm balking at spending $200 for a Lian-Li. But it's pretty sweet looking!

W/ all that hardware packed in, the cooling fans required must make it sound like a jet spooling up for take off :D

No it's $8000 for the complete system (case + hardware). It will get even better once the SMP Athlon motherboards are out. Hurry up AMD! ;)

Wow. In that case, then this is quite a deal. Sweet!

I think I'd get it with four 1.33GHz Axias. If they could all o/c to 2GHz plus I'd have the fastest RC5 machine on Earth (Russ's crack rack may be faster though ;) )!

Damn, Sharkeeper beat me to it. And to think the guy that owns the company is my Fluid Dynamics instructor. :(
