I'm there. Going to visit my dad cause his birthday is at the same time, so I always go up for thanksgiving. Sadly not terribly fond of the family he married into. That coupled with a horribly designed house, means it's typically not a whole ton of fun!

Lol, glad to see I am not the only one.

I get to go to the in laws. They are big into hunting, hanging dear while chewing on venison from the year before, and shooting anything that moves. Giving thanks will then give way to a preachy sermon on how Jesus gave himself up for us and we in return give thanks. This is laid on thick over the next month.

It's everything I can do not lose it and go off on my world views of the bible and religion.

Dinner with a large portion of my sister-in-law's redneck vegan hardcore 7th Day Adventist family over at my brother's place. I plan on setting the laundry room on fire to cover my escape.

Why don't you just spend the evening talking about your recent conversion to Islam? Be sure to wear a bow tie and black frame glasses all the while sporting a nice crew cut.

I've found talking about my boyfriend pretty much accomplishes the same thing.
