Back in the day, Carl and Tim used to have a bunch of computer experiments. They always used the term "And then?" After a while, the experiements came to be known as "Ands". Because "And" became a noun in this sense, it was proper English to say "an And". When they were putting together a tech site, there was no better name than "An And Tech". After you scrunch it all up, you get Anandtech.

I think that everyone should have to read the history behind Anandtech, and then take a test, before being allowed to make their first post.

Agreed... But after the test is passed, AT should issue a learner's permit of sorts, where for a month you can only post outside of OT & P&N..

Or rather the test should just be administered to those wanting to post in OT & P&N.

Edit: on second thought, people who actually want to post in P&N should just be shot upon application of the test.

Actually, I made up the name after trying these loser names: Microsoft(sounds like pr0n), Google(sounds like my dog drowning), Kraft Foods(Obviously a fake name) and Sony(of course I did not want to be associated with the Corleone gangster family) so I decided on Anandtech, since it rhymes with my name, which is Lou, of course.

Peace
