So which version of Half Life do I get to play counterstrike?

I mean there are so many versions out there....which one should I go for? other games pretty much dont matter ...all that is important is CS and nothing else.......I believe you need HL for this....so which one should I get?

just normal half life is fine, blue shift doesnt work and i dotn think oposing foce does as well, or you can jsut get the stand alone CS

Either Half-Life or Half-Life:Counter-Strike is fine. Opposing Force does not work.

From www.counter-strike.net, if you get Half-Life get the Full MOD File. If you get Counter-Strike, get the Full Retail File.

just pick up a copy of the Retail CS...

I just bought it from Office Depot yesterday. They had lots of packages...the best one is the platinum collection. Counterstrike by itself is $29.99 at OD. Platinum is $39.99. You can get Half Life, CS, Opposing Force, Blue Shift....there's like 5 games total. By far the best deal.
