I've been sleeping later and later lately🙂 need to kickstart the sleep cycle, so just a temp thing. which sleeping pills should i buy? no i cant fall asleep by natural means when i'm wide awake🙂

A baseball bat swung full force to the base of the skull generally induces restful sleep, but tends to make you extemely groggy the next day.

If you want to kick start your sleep cycle, try staying up for around 30-36 hours, then you will sleep long and hard.

THESE!

Valerian root works great for me. I have some Valerian root and peppermint tea that tastes like ass but knocks me out.
Melatonin is another safe choice.
As far as good OTC meds go, Simply Sleep or Unisom (or any equivalent store brand) works ok.

If you got depressed friends, see if they have any Trazidone. Half a pill and you're OUT and HAPPY. Love those antidepressants.
If you got bipolar or epileptic friends, find one with Neurontin. 15 hours of the most blissful sleep ever. Nighty night. 🙂

YOu could also try Ambien or SOnata, they should be completely out of your system in a few hours, so they are gone before you wake up.

You could also try getting a lot of exercise one day -- that's how I generally tried to get back into a normal sleeping pattern after winter break when I was in college. Climb a mountain, or do yard work until you can't take it anymore. I'd be out like a light by 10PM, and up with the sun the next morning. After that the cycle would be self-perpetuating.

When i worked graveyard last year, i used a generic over-the-counter brand "Diphenhydramine, HCI 50 mg". It was reccommended by a pharmacist friend who said they were non addicting. They worked great for me, gave me a guaranteed 8 hours of sleep. If i wanted to take less, they were pre-scored so i could cut them in half.

Of course you could just go with the medicine that fixes any ailment - NyQuil! this stuff fixes any problem....sleep, congestion, broken legs, etc...

LOL You're not kidding, I remember my first encounter with NyQuil. Took two gelcaps and within an hour I was knocked out, loved the stuff so much that I became addicted 🙁

<--- 6 years and clean.

Melatonin

3mg tabs

I usually take 2.

Valerian also works but Melatonin works better for me and doesn't smell like cat piss.

I've used Melatonin before and it worked for me.

You should also examine any other factors that you can control. Are you drinking any caffiene a few hours before bedtime, getting enough exercise? A pill can help when there are factors that are hard to control but life style modifications are the best way to go.

I heard bad things about melatonin, so I stopped taking it. Something about it's female hormones, something like that (I love being vague).

Otherwise melatonin from GNC rocks.
