I had a coworker I was riding along with and I asked him what political bias he was, when he answered I suggested we would get along fine so long as we NEVER discussed politics.

I dunno if it was a mistake. Obviously I can't speak for the mods, but looking at the picture on bbzzdd where member asked if right wing ideas were accepted in the forum. The mods response took me back a bit and shinerurke was a very vocal right winger..

There's a difference between the Mods not answering something, and the Mods deleting evidence in threads (and threads themselves) showing how they were biased and wrong in the calls they were making. And then on top of that, banning people calling them on it. Not exactly the way I would go about things unless I was trying to hide something.

As you're aware there's more than one Mod, so maybe they had different opinions on how to handle the situation. Also I think it should be an issue handled privately with the Mods via PM or e-mail, not publically.

But I'm not aware of all the factual circumstances, so I won't make judgement.

I do miss Shinerburke though and hope he returns to AT forums one day.

Damn P&N. Brings out the worse in almost everybody. I really do hate how the mods delete things though. A lock is fine, but a lot of times someone does something and they go and delete the things so we don't know wtf happened. God complex? I'm suprised this thread lasted so long.

Don't worry, it WILL be deleted. I made a similar thread at 7 am this morning. I wasn't picking sides, just showing the drawings and signs. I agree with the mods deleting threads like these, as it can ONLY LEAD TO A FLAMEFEST.

I don't care who got banned, or for what, because it was not me.

Delete flamefests? Every other thread is a flame fest with sexist/racist remarks everywhere. And that thread about how weak people choose religion. Flames are everywhere, and people get pissed at each other all the time. I don't agree with Shiner, he's way too right wing for me but it wasn't right if what I am interpreting as happened happened.

True, but since these threads get deleted, "spreading the word" will be difficult. I know what you are thinking, "well, we should be able to make threads like this then, if the mods have nothing to hide".
I would agree with that, However, from the mods point of view, they cannot have everyone questioning their authority everytime they decide to ban someone, for whatever reason.

Are the mods sometimes unfair, do they play favorites, do they over step thier bounds? sure they do.
Life is unfair, oh well.

I am not trying to take anyones side in the matter. Just tellin' it like I see it.


I think we should have a stickied thread(in forum issues) for folks to argue about this.
