Shinerburke was not banned for his political opinions , he was banned for breaking the rules. When confronted about signing up under another account while serving a time out he responded to our inquiries in a fashion similar to his rants over at pics.bbzzdd.com. That?s when we realized that his presence at AT would only be a source of confrontation and continued disruptions. Since our main duty is to make sure these forums run snoothly we couldn't allow this to happen.

Regarding his claim that another is a returning banned member that we have let stay, we have checked that members IP addresses and his email accounts and we cannot come to a positive conclusion that he is one in the same as none of them even come close to matching. The only evidence we have is circumstantial at best and we decided that we could not ban him with such questionable evidence.

In the end it all comes down to this. If Shinerburke had minded his own business and not tried to dictate to us how we should do our job he wouldn?t have been given a vacation and if he had not have responded to our inquiries regarding his signing up under another handle while on that vacation with the same immature nature that is witnessed by his pictures over at pics.bbzzdd.com he would still be a welcomed member here at out community. His situation is all of his own doing and blaming us for it isn't going to change that fact.

This is that last we are going to discuss this situation publicly, all other threads and posts regarding this topic will be locked and removed.

Wow. First time I read through this thing. Going to do more reading before I really decide where I stand but so far it looks like I'll be a Shinerburke supporter.

Basically, shinerburke called the Mods for not banning a returned permabanned liberal yet instantly banning conservatives that have done this in the past and calls them on their bias. Shiner got a PM that they were looking into it, but nowhere in the PM did it warn him to not post this in Forum Issues or be banned. Shiner posts in Forum Issues, gets temp banned. Creates a new nick to voice complaint over it, gets permabanned. Mods now lock and delete any threads protesting and bringing to light the bias shown in banning shinerburker. They are also issuing temp bans to people who make an issue of this. They are also deleting threads and posts that contain evidence of their bias.

Say bye bye to this thread.

Just remember there are two sides to every story.

Of course I don't expect the Mods to publically post their side of the story. Mods are human just like us (except for bots like Jokersmoker) and sometimes make errors.

I'd say he deserves a vacation but not permaban.

I dunno if it was a mistake. Obviously I can't speak for the mods, but looking at the picture on bbzzdd where member asked if right wing ideas were accepted in the forum. The mods response took me back a bit and shinerurke was a very vocal right winger..

EDIT: accepted is not the word im looking for
