NASA is very experienced in keeping people alive in close proximity with scarce access to resources, etc...

NASA is sending technology used for the space station down the little hole to the trapped miners to help keep them alive.

Things that can purify and keep waste safe, meals, etc...

how much are they charging for their expertise?

Anybody's who's ever been caught double dipping knows this is the worst possible scenario.

Letting his wife simmer for 3 months is a very BAD thing. You need to nip these problems in the bud, apply damage control ASAP, not later.

I feel sorry for the guy. All of the other miners can feel some consolation that they have a loving family waiting for them. This guy is going to get out, get yelled out, and probably get divorced.

Haha, man, that sucks for him. I'm actually kind of surprised his wife is gonna wait for him. She has ~3 months or so to go back home, pack up whatever she wants and skip town before he gets out, but instead is waiting for his cheating ass. Talk about a doormat.

It could be a hoax, some broad looking to cash in somehow. I mean, it wouldn't be hard to just show up and pretend - it's not like the names of the miners are unknown.

I don't know how it works in Chile, but here in the US, each miner would have a shitload of money coming to them when they finally get out. Don't think the wife doesn't know this. She isn't going anywhere.

I don't feel sorry for him for that. He made his bed, now he has to sleep in it.

Update bump.
http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...miner-offered-spokesperson-infidelity-agency/
Pop Tarts has learned exclusively that on Monday, controversial website AshleyMadison.com, which provides an online dating service to those looking to have extramarital affairs, is offering the Chilean miner a $100,000 endorsement deal to be the Spanish speaking spokesperson for the site.
According to the contract, Barrios’s responsibilities would include starring in TV commercials, radio ads and public appearances in North, South and Central America.
One major caveat in the contract? He must remain married to his current wife!
“To date our Spanish language service has been a tremendous success in the United States. Since its launch over 17 percent of new members on AshleyMadison.com are Spanish speaking,” added the site’s President, Noel Biderman.
No word yet if Barrios will sign on the dotted line. And now word what his girlfriend, Susana Valenzuela, thinks of that caveat!

(on page 2)

"Barrios' wife and lover, who live a block away from one another, both arrived at the mine following the Aug. 5 collapsed that trapped them, launching a high-profile soap opera. The wife accepted his donations, while Barrios went home with the lover.

Yanez's strained relationships were on display when the media waited outside his mother's house, where his family had prepared a welcome-home party, and he didn't show up. He went instead to the home of the mother of his two children, a woman he proposed marriage to while underground. Yanez's sister, cameras in tow, later threw a rock at the woman's house, and yelled that he can forget having his family to support him."
