First, rofl at that exchange :laugh: quite funny <edit> Whoops, I had only read the first page (40 posts) when posting this </edit>

Second, I like the idea of a mac forum because I'd like to see more mac traffic but there are more reasons I'd like to see it stay in the regular forums. I like the mac/pc wars (at least as I read them in OS); they are only natural as macs gain in popularity and I find them informative and entertaining. Also, we certainly need a Programming forum before a mac forum and if you go on sheer volume then "What Linux distro should I use" should get it's own before macs.

As the whole Anandtech is "Your source for Hardware and News" I don´t think a programming Forum would B first choice, but according to myself I have to agree on that too

I would like an Apple forum. Not all Apple experts or experienced folks will visit the OS forum to look for the 1% of posts that are about OSX that they can help out. Or if i just want to browse and see what kind of Apple talk people are talking about, i don't have to read 200 General Hardware posts for every 1 Mac Mini or iBook post.
