AT really went downhill quick! It's so quiet around here. I remember posting in Off Topic at times, and the same thread being on the 2nd page 5 minutes later. Now, at the bottom of the 1st page I still see posts from 5 hours ago.
 
I wouldn't say it was quick.... It was quite gradual. But we're at the bottom now. Only a bunch of nerds and degenerates stuck around.
 
Says 2,600+ users browsing this forum. I don't think we have less, we just have less Mayne type posters that make 4+ posts a day. They've been weeded out and driven off.
 
Sub forums didn't help.
Gradual aging of the population.
Social media (forums, like BBS before them were an early version of social media).

Bullshit. This place keeps me sane enough during business hours. Otherwise I'd have gone postal already. The average age here is probably 40 physically and 12 mentally. Boomer and Waggy throw off that (physical) average quite a bit...
 
Anand left, they don't review anything new any more unless it's an iProduct or only to say it's not an iProduct.
 
It's been like that for a very long time by now.

1) Splitting off-topic into a bunch of useless subforums
2) Randomly banning prominent members and then banning anyone who talks about it
3) The way people consume content has changed away from forum style sites.
4) Nothing is done at all about blatantly obvious trolls except temporary bans that don't address the problem at all
