Have you seen the latest trailer? Crysis games were fun. If you didn't have the rig, or weren't willing to think or have fun in the sandbox, then it would suck. But if you knew how the game was to be played, it was a blast.

Only someone in denial would watch the latest Crysis 2 trailer and think it didn't look like a fun game.

Crysis is definitely one of the best FPS's. You cant deny that

I am looking forward to Crysis 2, but i hope its not going to be too linear (city sstreets dont have too many hiding spots) and will allow players the freedom to roam around.

I have Chronickles of Riddick Butcher bay Directors cut as well as Prey, but i never could get into both of those games, i will reinstall them and give them a try again though.

I don't get the hate on Crysis. It was touted as an engine display, but I thought it was a great game. I hated the parts with the aliens (ie, most of the 2nd half), but otherwise it was awesome IMO. Being able to see a base from miles away and just deciding how to approach it was fun.

i thought the first crysis was good. warhead was more of the same and short, but i was really blown away by the original crysis (even though it ran like crap on the P4 crap PC)

Portal 2 comes out April 18, 2011. Really enjoyed the original.

I would also add Left 4 Dead 2, for those who like online play.

I'm enjoying Just Cause 2, but I suppose that's a 3rd-person shooter, like the GTA series.

L4D2 rocks. Last I checked I have 895 hours played in that game. I play it most nights with buddies still, and it never gets old. It's so much fun honestly..

I also still play UT2004 from time to time, awesome game.
Bought the Quake collection on Steam as well. Used to play Q3 like it was my job.

I know it isn't a PC game but Halo Reach is one of the best FPS games released this generation..its pretty much the only FPS worthy of playing on consoles.

But to answer OP's question Battlefield 3 is gonna be the next big FPS.

So why would i want to hear about it ?

You know i hate microsoft and their monopolies, i thoroughly enjoyed Gears Of War, i loved that game, (in fact now that reminds me to reinstall it again hehe)

But Gears 2 came out on the Xbox so long ago, why not release it on the PC ? after all, Microsoft says with windows 8 they would be launching back into the PC Gaming frontier,would this not be a great start?

and how could this possibly hurt sales for the 360 version since it came out so long ago and anyone who wanted that game probably already owns a copy....

Actually it looks to be suffering from major consolitis which ensures it will suck balls and be over priced.
Also, it will be a lame shooter and nothing more. The role-playing has long since been killed off in favor of loot or tits.

A lot of people liked ET for some reason, won't argue that.

D3 and QW were turrible though, just turrible. I wanted to like QW too, couldn't do it, game was so bad.

I like QW, so as with much other it's a matter of taste.
