In fact, the phenomenon known as the "Korean wave" swept through Vietnam five or six years ago when films from South Korea became big hits here. In Vietnam, where fans watch films attentively, love and even shed tears for the characters, the filmmaking trend from the country famous for kimchi has had a significant impact on viewers and their ways of life.

The percentage of Koreans in top universities and professional jobs, and Korean avg family income are disproportionally higher than the percentage of the population they represent. This does NOT mean, however, that koreans are "superior." I have a theory that only smart koreans come to America (dumb ones can't afford/no motivation to come to US?), hence all the [over]achievement.

Compared to the population they represent ? There was an article that lot of Koreans are going to Beiing, China to study there cause the job opportunity in Asia compared to the US is a lot better. If you do a search on goolge, I think you can find it. I still don't see how your argument shows they are taking over top univiersities and jobs. Are you talking abou the US? I still don't see it, but I'm sure you have some statics to prove it.
