Late 2016? Delays...delays...delays.

I don't think this is the process AMD is planning to use. FD-SOI is a different technology from FinFET. AMD has specifically said that they will be using the FinFET process, and GloFo is licensing Samsung's processes for that. And Samsung started mass production of an actual FinFET product (Exynos 7) this February.

Predictions have Global Foundries beating TSMC to market on FinFETs.

Right, but, from what I read, 14nmFinFET will be expensive, so, what caught my eye was “almost 14nm FinFET performance at almost 28nm cost.” for FD-SOI.

I wonder if they have multiple designs for each tech, so they don't have all their eggs in one basket so to speak?

Do we have any confirmation on if amd new 28nm fijj cards is tsmc or gf?

So, now we know it is TSMC.
Does this mean that GF still has too many issue, or, perhaps it is dual sourced?
I could of swore I read that AMD had a big order with GloFlo...

P.S, the GloFlo talk above is going on now.
